I had a Rabbit GTI, bought it off my oil rig cousin for £700 if I was prepared to go to his place in France to bring it back. Just needed a new battery. Sold it two years later for £2k to a couple moving back to France that wanted a LHD car.

They look good, but I think I'd have preferred 5-spoke a little more like the old Volvos had.

The wheels turned out nice, but the white letters are not my style. Monica looks good driving, the wheels fill the wheel arches perfectly.

I'm sure you know what your doing. But im surprised about the tyre sanding. On the thumbnail i thought you'd just painted the lettering.

As you asked... I think the wheel stickers are kitchy and out of place. just as silly an addition as fake air intakes and ratlle can red sprayed brake calipers. Also, the sanding down of the new tire sides to install the stickers was a sad thing indeed to behold.

Nice job on restoring those wheels. You must have needed a lot of patience to remove and replace all those fixings. Worth it though as they really do suit Monica.
